A law firm has had to pay £26,500 in damages to a Jewish former employee who was fired for not coming into work on a religious holiday, even though he had booked the time off.
The ex-employee had taken two weeks off for self-isolation, but the firm insisted that no employee could take more than two weeks' leave.
