Thousands of pension savers could be owed combined £6bn due to overpaid stamp duty

​Up to 75,000 people who were advised to pay stamp duty on commercial properties converted into personal pensions may be entitled to a £6 billion rebate.

They may have paid stamp duty when transferring commercial property into their Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSASs) and Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), despite the fact that such transactions are exempt.
